What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
Hate Mondays. I just ask Carl every time I go there, ‘what do you think I should get today?’ He gives me a recommendation, and if it doesn't sound appealing to me, he says how he can switch it up with this or that. He really goes the extra mile to make sure you're eating what you like. I like Kampai on Sunset and 87th avenue. Even their Thai food is amazing. But, The Biltmore brunch is hands down my number one recommendation. It's not your regular buffet.

Bombay Darbar: Mango Curry chicken and Butter Chicken. Threefold Cafe: Everything! (but seriously: Smashed Avo, Chickie Babe, Beef short rib). Don Gloton: Chicken cachapa and reina pepiada arepa.

When Sarah and I arrived in Miami, and we didn't have anything in the house but an air mattress, we found the Asian Fusion Cafe in Palmetto Bay. They're very unpretentious with very good Asian food. They're not very expensive and super friendly.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
My favorite restaurant to go to right now is a Jaguar Sun. I love what they do with the limited amount of space they have. I have a tremendous respect for Chef Carey and Will, I think they provide one of the best experiences in Miami. Another favorite place is Ariete, I love what Mike does. I love his commitment to excellence. I love NIU kitchen. Also, La Mar. I know we do something similar with Peruvian food. But, because we don't have a kitchen, whenever I'm missing good Peruvian hot dishes, it's my favorite place to go. I think Diego is always pushing the boundary on Peruvian food.

I love Thai food. One of my favorites is Bangkok City on Bird Road, right off the Palmetto. Also, I love barbecue and this place used to only be in Orlando, but now they have a location in Coral Springs. It's called Four Rivers Smokehouse. It's great barbecue. It's pretty cheap and it's great.

I used to be a restaurant critic at age 19. I'm serious. I had a food blog when nobody was doing it, but that was 20 years ago. I really don't do a lot of restaurants here. If we want to go out in Weston, we go to two places. Pizza Lovers - he's Italian and makes very thin crust pizza. And there's a sushi place called KEUH. In Miami, I love Mandolin, the Greek restaurant. And, Motek, which serves Israeli food. In Little Havana there's a place called El Sanguich, for Cuban sandwiches. I love it.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
Plant Food and Wine now has a new name – it’s a beautiful restaurant and all health foods. Horatio is the chef and they are great customers of ours. It’s so unique, I love everything. You must go there and see. They changed the management recently. The building owner took over and the staff and chef stayed. We went to Flemings last week for my wife’s birthday. It’s the only time I eat meat. I grew up eating steaks, now I get them once a birthday.

What local restaurants or businesses do you recommend?
For sushi restaurant, I'd say Matsuri is one of my favorites in the South Miami. Obviously, LAN PAN Asian. I am a huge fan and it's right next to me. I've been going there for a long time. I like Italian food. Sapore Di Mare in the Grove is very good. In the back, it's so nice and quiet. Also, the Fish House, on Miller, on Thursdays has a blues night, which I frequently attend. I'm a music lover and a huge blues fan.

Going Bananas. If you're a farmer down here, you know them. I went there in the middle of the pandemic. They weren't actually open, but I ended up getting a hold of them and it was only a tiny order of three plants. I ended up chatting with her and the level of which she interacted with me and shared her knowledge and her passion for what they do was a stoke, the same as you guys.

There's one place on the beach called 'Under the Mango Tree.' It's predominantly organic. They have Acai bowls, smoothies, and empanadas. There's another place in Midtown called Thatch that's 100% plant based and and really good. In Wynwood, there's a place called Love Life Cafe. It's also a 10 out of 10 recommend.
