I produce community cycling events.
Do you have a market ritual? If so, please describe.
Considering I go to the market on Sundays at 8 AM before anyone else is open, I only visit you guys!
What’s your favorite thing to buy at LNB Grovestand and why?
Not necessarily ‘buy’. The vibe at the LNB stand is my favorite.

Tako Krew – in the back area of Lincoln’s Beard Brewery. The mushroom or tofu tacos are the way to go!

Quinoa bean burger. The secret is cooking the beans and adding Cuban crackers for that crunchy flavor.
What’s the area’s best-kept secret?
Can’t tell you! Snyder Park has open tennis courts and a great park area for the little ones.
A worthy splurge:
Bicycles and running attire!
Rainy-day activity:
With 2 little kids… It better be sunny every day!
Do you own your own business or offer a service? Would you share a pitch about yourself or company with the community?
Velosport Events started with an idea from Arnie Freire, the owner of Bike Tech. To drive more clients to the stores, he created an event company that produces Community Cycling events. We started three years ago with one event, Cyclefest a 50 or 100K road ride through the cities of Weston, Sunrise, Miramar, Southwest Ranches and Pembroke Pines. Having seen the great response from the cycling community in South Florida, we decided to add three more road events and two mountain bike events (yes, we do have trails here).
A+W: Oscar sent us a coupon for a registration discount, that we can share with our readers. If you are interested, please reply and we can email it to you!
Is there a question that you would like to ask the community?
Do you ride?
W: I do. Although, I have not been riding outside much for the last two years. After a bicycle accident on Rickenbacker Causeway, (which left me 1/2” shorter) I started virtual racing on Zwift using a Wahoo trainer. It allows me to connect my road bike to a video game and I compete with racers all over the world. One day I may venture back into the real world.
